I paddle for the experience of nature – to calm my senses, slow down, and take in everything it has to offer, at my own pace.
What calls me is not waves or adrenaline, but calm, mirror-like waters, archipelago-like environments, and quiet places.
Kayaking has become a way for me to slow down, explore, and experience nature from a different perspective. I want to share both the highlights and the learning moments along the way — showing that you don’t need to be an expert to get out on the water and enjoy the adventure.
Why do you paddle the Melker Värmdö LV?
For me, the Melker Värmdö LV feels like the perfect match. Not only because Värmdö is “my island”, but because it’s the kayak I feel most connected to.
It’s my companion to learn and grow with — for countless adventures still waiting ahead. A kayak that feels playful, capable, and inspiring every time I launch from shore.
And honestly… it doesn’t hurt that it’s an absolute beauty, both on and off the water.

Grilled seafood or tuna — I like the luxury in combination with the simple.
Talk about nature getting close — somewhere between sea and silence, a seal climbed onto the back of my kayak, like we’d known each other for years :-)
